Pastor Stan found the Lord as His Savior while serving in Vietnam as a U.S. Marine. Upon discharge, he married his beautiful wife Daisy, attended a Foursquare Bible College, and began ministry in the Foursquare Denomination.

Since 1977, Pastor Stan has served as a college development director, Youth Pastor, Christian school teacher and Principal, Associate Pastor, and Senior Pastor. He has served as a Senior Pastor since 1988 in one independent church and three Foursquare churches.

He and Daisy celebrated 44 years of marriage in 2017.  They have two grown, identical twin daughters, and enjoy five grandchildren.  Sadly, after a two year battle with cancer, Daisy passed into the arms of her Lord Jesus, on March 19, 2018.  Pastor Stan carries on in God’s strength, believing Him for awesome things to come in ministering the life of Jesus to New Horizon Church.

Ron and Jeanie met at a youth camp in the year 1997 and were married in the year 2000. The Lord called them into Youth Ministry that same year. In 2004 they joined the New Horizon team where they continue to serve in Youth and Children Ministry.

Tim & Juliet Gillis

Worship Pastors

Tim & Juliet met at New Hope Christian Fellowship in Honolulu, Hawaii on December 24, 2000 while Tim was on vacation visiting his parents who were on staff there. It was love at first sight and after 2 ½ years of long distance dating, they got married on June 21, 2003 at Media City Church in Burbank, CA. Tim’s dad officiated the wedding.  They have been leading worship together ever since, beginning at Calvary Church of the Pacific in Aiea, HI, and currently here at New Horizon Church.

Worshipping God through music and song is in Tim’s blood. Whenever you are around him, it is never quiet. He is either singing or humming or making you laugh. Juliet has always loved music as her dad was a musician in the Philippines and in Hawaii. But it wasn’t until she met Tim that she discovered the most beautiful kind of music….worship.

“Make a joyful noise unto the Lord, all ye lands. Serve the Lord with gladness: come before His presence with singing.”  Psalm 100:1-2

– Pastores Javier y Julia

Javier & Julia Diaz began their ministry in Monterrey Mexico in 70s and in the year 1989 the Lord opened doors for them to come and minister in Los Angeles.  Starting again was not easy, but God certainly remained faithful above all things.  Now, with more than 40 years in ministry, they continue to serve the Lord with passion.

“Our mission is to be a blessing for the city in which we are and those around us, to be of good influence for this generation and the future.  We have a defined ideal and purpose and this is confirmed in Isaiah 44:3 “God says, because I will make water run in the wilderness, streams on dry land. I will give new life to your descendants, send them blessing. Amen.”– Pastors Javier and Julia
